Science on Screen: Jurassic Park @ The Crick

"How can we stand in the light of discovery, and not act ?"

One of the best lines in cinema that captures what drives explorers and inventors, said by John Hammond in the infamous table scene.

I always found his zeal to create the park to be very inspiring. Things only go wrong because that's a much more compelling story to watch.

There's a screening at the Crick on the 4th of Feb at 18:30, with a discussion on genetics and paleontology beforehand. Would love to go to this with some fellow techno-optimists!
